Hartwig C Schuen

Hartwig holds a B.Sc. (Econ) in Industrial and Business Economics from the London School of Economics. He spent almost his entire professional career in commodity finance and trading.  He started his banking career almost 25 years ago with Bank Austria in Vienna and Moscow. Hartwig then joined WestLB in Düsseldorf where he held several positions in the Commodity Finance division including the Head of Energy and Chemicals financing. Thereafter he held several positions as Managing Director of the commodity businesses of Sempra Energy Trading, The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS Sempra Commodities), J.P. Morgan and Freepoint Commodities. Later he became an independent advisor and also joined Faircourt Capital Limited, a London-based energy and natural resources capital markets advisory firm, as Managing Director. He was involved in the renegotiation and restructuring of deals throughout his career. He is a co-founder and a director of Terra Mater Advisors Limited.
